How to Get From Narita Airport to Central Tokyo - Quick, Easy, and CheapFindJPN Blog

How’s it going! This is Dyki from FindJPN. I’ve been an intern at this company for over 8 months making pop culture related activities, writing blog posts, and just having a really great time.

This blog post is a how-to blog about “How to get from Narita airport to Central Tokyo”
Narita Airport is not located in the Capital of Japan, Tokyo prefecture, but instead in Chiba prefecture; this is why it takes around 1~2 hours to get from Narita Airport to Central Tokyo.

There are a few ways to get there but this time, I’d like to share three ways:

• An easy route
• A cheap route
• A fast route

The Easy Route

[Limousine bus]

It’s a bit expensive but the limousines run around 1200 times a day from Narita airport to the main Terminal stations in Tokyo or directly to your hotel (if on the list on the site) for around 3000yen (30 USD).
Once you get on, there’s no need for transfers —————-

[Time]
70~150min from Narita Airport to Shibuya or Ikebukuro (Central area of Tokyo)
[Price]
Around 3000 yen (40USD)

For more information check out → https://www.limousinebus.co.jp/en/

The Fast Route

[Keisei Skyline or the Narita Express]

Both the Skyline and the Express will take you straight to each central station in Tokyo, so no need for
transfers.

[Keisei Skyliner]

This goes straight from Narita Airport to a station called Nippori. Nippori station also has the Yamanote line – a train that stops at all central cities in Tokyo – so if you get on the Yamanote line from Nippori you can go anywhere easily.

[Time]
• Narita Airport ~ Nippori Station 51 minutes
[Price]
• 1920 yen (24 USD)

[Narita Express]

Using the Narita Express, from Narita Airport you can go to Tokyo, Shinagawa, Shinjyuku, Yokohama, Oofuna, and Oomiya without any transfers. It costs a little more than the Keisei Liner but this stops at more stations, so I recommend taking this train if you want to get straight and fast to your destination.

[Time]
• Around 60minutes
[Price]
• 3000~4500 yen depending on the station you get off

The Cheap Route

[The Keisei Line Rapid]

The Keisei Line Rapid is the cheapest out of the three I have listed, but takes much longer because it stops at more stations. I’d recommend this train only if you are confident transferring trains and not in a hurry.
[Time]
• Narita Airport ~ Keisei Ueno Station 75 minutes
[Price]
• 660~1100 yen depending on the station you get off.

These are the three routes findjpn recommends! It’s your choice whether you’d like to take the cheap, easy, or fast route but, personally, I’d use the limousine bus. Limousine bus sounds cool. I don’t know.

But in any case, Enjoy your stay in Japan! Hope we can help you through Findjpn! :p
