Make "Washi" !
Details
"Nagashi-suki" is almost unexplainable in words, making "Washi"-making a must-see, and a must-do. Washi (traditional Japanese paper) has been used in Japan since the year 610 and its usage extends from paper for pillows to paper for poetry ("tanzaku"). "Washi" is also fairly expensive, but it's price is due to its fine quality. It is delicately manufactured from very thin fiber, so the end-product is paper that is slim but durable. This process of manufacturing from thin fiber is called "Nagashi-suki" - something that is incredibly interesting to see and best seen at a traditional washi-making company like Ozuwashi in Tokyo.
Ozuwashi will not only let you see the process, but will let you make "washi" from scratch!
When your done, you keep the washi you made!
