We interviewed Richard who experienced 3 programs at FindJPN.
Richard is a graduate student in mechanical engineering. Although he has always wanted to visit, this was his first time actually visiting.
FJP: Why did you choose our program, Find JPN?
Richard: Since I’m active and a people person, I thought it would be great to join programs that enable me to talk with other people.
FJP:How was everything? What do you think of “Tokyo Art Navigator“?
Richard:I highly recommend this. Kota is extremely organised and has a large itinerary that you can structure a tour around. He is highly knowledgeable about Tokyo Art, it felt like I was exploring the city with a good friend. I recommend visiting the Tokyo Wonder Site if you are into contemporary art.
FJP: How was “Japanese Calligraphy”?
Japanese Calligraphy : Create your own Unique Souvenir
Richard: I really liked this activity. It is very relaxing and a great way to experience a more traditional aspect of Japanese culture. Yunagi is very sweet and friendly, a great teacher also. She was very good with direction and she even praised my calligraphy.
FJP: What did you think of “Shamisen”?
Shamisen : Traditional Japanese String Instrument
Richard: Kozan is amazing at playing the shamisen. He is a great teacher, very friendly, and very good at giving direction. I had no trouble playing the shamisen, and picked it up quite easily. Also, ask Kozan to demonstrate playing the Koto on your visit… you won’t regret it. If you’re after a traditional Japanese experience, I suggest trying this out as it fun and unique activity… one to boast to your jealous friends about back home!
FJP: Thank you, we are glad that you enjoyed them! Is there anything you want to say to people who are reading this?
Richard: “ I highly recommend using “findjpn.com”. It is a cheap and alternative way to see and do interesting things in Tokyo with local Tokyo people. Plus, I made great friends with the amazing guides.”
Thanks, Richard!
Now, we are looking forward to seeing everyone who is reading this!
