Learn professional vegetarian food cooking

Details

Let's enjoy 'the vegetarian course menu' with Japanese ingredients!

I would like to introduce you how delicious, beautiful, enjoyable, and happy the dishes with natural food are.

You can learn how to cook "vegetarian course menu" with 4 to 5 dishes, such as;
(a) Hijiki with Creamy Citrus Sauce
(b) Steamed Azuki and Pumpkin
(c) Brown Rice with Mizuna
(d) Lotus Root Fried Ball
(e) Persimmon Gelee

This class is based on Macrobiotic theory, and I don't use meat, fish, egg, white sugar, and chemical products.

The dishes are served with Japanese pottery or simple white porcelain with flower arrangements and table linens. I would like to propose you various kinds of vegetable dishes/bread and how to make the dishes more beautiful and enjoyable, based on my experience at many cookery schools both in Tokyo and London, and much experience in various countries I've ever travelled (more than 20 countries!).

About the host

Akiko Y.

I have vegetarian cooking classes and natural yeast bread baking classes at home. Both are based on Macrobiotic theory, and I don't use meat, fish, egg, white sugar, and chemical products. I've learned cooking in Tokyo (Natural Food Director School, Natural Bread School, Kushi Macrobiotic Academy, etc) and London (Le Cordon Bleu, various cookery school, etc) and I've worked at Cafe 8, the vegan vegetarian cafe in Tokyo and worked as a bread baking teacher at a school in Tokyo before I've opened my classes at home. I wish many people to know how delicious, beautiful, enjoyable, and happy the dishes with natural food are. So in my classes, I propose various entertaining dishes which the students can enjoy with their "five senses". I believe that the purpose of eating food is not only to keep our body, but also to enjoy our life. So I make the menus in my classes thinking that the students can enjoy and feel "satisfaction" (both from their stomachs and eyes!) as well as they can feel to become healthy and calm with the dishes.
